When Billings Thinks Pink
October is more than just pumpkin patches and falling leaves; it’s when our city turns pink with purpose. Breast Cancer Awareness Month brings out the heart of Billings, with local businesses, clinics, and community members rallying to honor survivors, support those in treatment, and spread life-saving awareness.
Bras for a Cause, hosted by Billings Clinic each October. Work with a group or on your own to decorate a new bra as a show of love and support for breast cancer survivors. Decorated bras can be dropped off at the Billings Clinic Floberg House during the following times:
- Friday, October 9 | 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Monday, October 13 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 15 | 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Online voting begins October 20 on the Billings Clinic Facebook page, and the winner will be announced in early November. Each design tells a story and together, they reflect how creativity and compassion come together in the fight against breast cancer.
How Billings Kicked Off Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The first week of October sets the tone for a month of community connection and support.
- Pack the 105 in Pink Pint Night at 1Ō5 Brewing got things started with a full house, pints poured for a purpose, and donations raised for local breast cancer patients.
- The Ribbon Cutting for the Reger Family High-Risk Breast Clinic marked a milestone moment for Billings Clinic, expanding specialized care and early detection for those at higher risk.
- MSUB Volleyball’s Pink Night filled Alterowitz Gym with fans decked out in pink, proving that school spirit and community spirit go hand in hand.
Each event brought energy, awareness, and heartfelt stories and showed just how deeply Billings cares.
What’s Still to Come This October
There’s still plenty of time to get involved and show your pink pride throughout the rest of the month:

Behind every pink ribbon and event are countless volunteers, survivors, and families who remind us that awareness isn’t just about one month. It’s about community, compassion, and courage every day of the year.
If you’ve been putting off your own screening, now’s the perfect time. Billings Clinic offers mammograms without a referral, and their Women’s Wellness Program provides free screenings for those who qualify. Learn more about their services, events, and resources at billingsclinic.com/breast-health.
So wear your pink proudly. Join an event. Decorate a bra. Or simply remind someone you love to schedule their mammogram. When Billings thinks pink, we show what community care truly looks like.
