Unlock the Magic of Watercolor w/Mike Koski

This 6-week series will expose intermediate-advanced students to techniques utilizing the natural characteristics of watercolor. We will focus on detailed painting, light direction and shadow as well as value separation on Foreground and background.

Techniques practiced include layering color (both as transparent glazing and dry on dry), utilizing free-flowing “on paper” wet-on-wet color blending, mixing paints with undertones of warm or cool, lifting color, using masking fluid to save white space, painting negative spaces, and managing water to enhance value and move, shape, and soften pigment edges.

This class will suit those who are very patient.

Each Tuesday from 1:00 - 3:30pm; March 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9, & 16th.
