Because in this town, picking just one favorite burger is nearly impossible.

Billings is stacked with amazing burger joints. Ask any local where to get the best burger, and you’ll get a different answer every time. That’s because this town is bursting with burger greatness, whether you're into classic double stacks or bougie buns with bacon jam. The good news? You really can’t go wrong. 

So, we did what any burger-loving, Billings-based team would do; we asked our staff to share their favorites. From dive bar classics to creative pub stacks, here’s where the Simply Local crew grabs a bite when the burger cravings hit. 

Jenny Barriger, Founder & Executive Director 

Mooyah takes the top spot for Jenny, thanks to their juicy patties and always-consistent flavor. Fuddruckers is a nostalgic runner-up she still loves. 

Stephanie Toews, Creative Director | Executive Editor 

Stephanie’s go-to? A nostalgic, no-nonsense, double cheeseburger from Sandee’s. Simple, classic, and always satisfying. 

Synda Rorex, Creative & Print Engagement 

Synda can’t choose just one! She’s a big fan of the Double Ice Burger at Mooyah and the Garlic Burger from The Burger Dive. But if pressed? Mooyah wins by a bite. 

Lynae Cole, Digital Specialist 

Lynae loves a classic double cheeseburger from Mooyah but also can’t resist The Burger Dive’s Juicy Lucy. It’s the perfect combo of melty cheese and serious flavor. 

Tove Oblander, Creative & Digital Engagement 

Tove’s a fan of the Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger at The Burger Dive. Rich, savory, and always hits the spot. 

Brittany Schimke, Staff Writer & Creative 

Brittany swears by the French Onion Burger at Diamond X Beer Co. with caramelized onions, crispy onion rings, French onion aioli, Havarti and Swiss cheeses, and au jus for dipping. 

Ashley Fisher, Senior Account Executive 

Ashley heads to The Madhouse Bar & Grill for unique burgers with creative twists. If you’re looking for something outside the norm, this is your place. 

Bre Robbins, Account Executive 

Bre couldn’t narrow it down (can you blame her?) her favs include: 

• Walkers – White cheddar, bacon jam, house pickles, secret sauce = perfection 
• Montana Brewing Company – Any burger on a pretzel bun 
• Meadowlark – Goat Burger 
• Bistro Enzo – Enzo Burger 
• The Granary – Smash Burger 
• Stacked – Unique and always delicious 
• Mooyah – Yep, that too! 

Maisie Dority, Audience Specialist 

Maisie loves the Cowboy Burger at Montana Club. Think BBQ glaze, bacon, smoked cheddar, and crispy onion rings, all the best things on one bun. 

Belinda Holloway, Account Executive 

Belinda’s not really a burger gal; she’ll take crispy fried chicken over a beef patty any day. 

Nicole Allen, Operations Specialist 

Nicole heads to Diamond X for the G.O.A.T Burger: spicy goat cheese, garlic aioli, caramelized onions, tomatoes, and arugula. Bold, flavorful, and definitely not your average burger. 

Moral of the story? Billings is a burger lover’s dream.
