RiverStone Health Foundation: Helping Every Neighbor Access Quality Care

RiverStone Health Foundation began in 2008 with a mission rooted in community care. The Foundation strengthens RiverStone Health through annual and planned giving, campaigns, grants, and partnerships that keep essential healthcare services accessible for everyone who needs them. Their work helps ensure that anyone who walks into a RiverStone Health clinic can receive medical or dental care in a compassionate setting, no matter their financial situation.

As RiverStone Health’s fundraising partner, the Foundation plays a steady behind-the-scenes role in nearly every program. Donations help update facilities, purchase equipment, support families during difficult moments, and fill in the gaps insurance doesn’t cover. Their impact stretches across the organization. It might mean finding a safe place for a hospice patient with nowhere to go, helping someone get to a medical appointment, sending a child home with a book after a clinic visit, or providing durable medical equipment that would otherwise be out of reach.

Many people in the community connect with the Foundation through its long-standing events that support hospice care. Each June, the Hospice Golf Tournament brings supporters together at the Laurel Golf Club, and every November, the Hospice Tree of Lights gives families a meaningful way to honor loved ones. They also partner with Westpark Village and Special K Ranch for a spring plant sale that supports Healthcare for the Homeless. Funds help provide a summer health fair and breakfast, a winter homeless memorial, and basic hygiene items for clients.

Volunteers bring so much heart to the Foundation’s work. They support hospice patients and their families, assist with grief programs, help in the clinics, and fill in wherever they’re needed. Their steady presence bridges the space between professional care, and the comfort families want for their loved ones.

Stories of gratitude are a regular reminder of why this work matters. Families talk about the guidance and compassion they received from hospice staff, while patients share meaningful moments with clinic and dental providers. These day-to-day interactions capture the spirit that guides the Foundation’s mission.

RiverStone Health Foundation continues to strengthen community health and looks forward to another year of meaningful events, including the 38th annual Hospice Golf Tournament at the Laurel Golf Club.
