LaVie Health: Offering Compassion, Care, and Hope When It Matters Most
LaVie Health’s story began 35 years ago with a young woman who felt alone in an unplanned pregnancy. She shared her fears with her Sunday school teacher, hoping for support beyond the only option she had been given. Her honesty sparked something lasting. Soon after, that teacher helped create a local pregnancy resource center, which would eventually become LaVie Health. Over the years, the organization has changed its name, expanded its services, and grown into a trusted medical clinic offering essential early pregnancy care at low or no cost.
LaVie empowers women by providing compassionate medical care and support during moments that can feel overwhelming. Their team believes that when a woman receives trustworthy medical information and emotional encouragement, she can make informed decisions and step into motherhood with confidence. Their care doesn’t begin and end with an appointment; they walk with patients through pregnancy, offering the kind of steady reassurance that reminds them they are not alone.
The range of services LaVie provides reflects this commitment. Their free medical services include pregnancy testing, ultrasound exams, limited STI testing, pre-abortion and post-abortion care, abortion pill reversal education and referral, pregnancy and parenting classes, community resource connections, support programs for dads, and youth awareness education. Low-cost services include comprehensive STI testing, exams, and sports physicals. Together, these offerings create a full circle of education, connection, and care designed to help women and families thrive long after their first visit.
Many people are surprised to learn how extensive LaVie’s medical credentials are. Every patient is cared for by licensed healthcare professionals. Registered nurses provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and limited STI testing. A nurse practitioner offers sports physicals, STI exams, and a broader list of medical services. A radiologist reviews every ultrasound, and a medical director guides their work. A culture of compassion, hope, and encouragement matches this clinical foundation. Every person who walks through the doors is met with dignity, kindness, and the affirmation that they matter.
LaVie’s team hopes each patient leaves knowing they are enough. That message echoes throughout their work. Being “enough” doesn’t mean having all the answers; it means recognizing your worth even in uncertainty. For women facing unplanned pregnancies, this truth can be a lifeline. LaVie wants every woman to know she is seen, heard, and loved, and that both her life and her child’s life hold deep purpose and immeasurable worth.
LaVie’s impact comes to life in the everyday moments inside their clinic. To understand what this looks like, here’s what one Monday held. Early that morning, a proud dad arrived to pick up diapers and wipes he earned through their Earn While You Learn curriculum, determined to become the father his baby needs. Minutes later, a woman walked in for a pregnancy test after multiple miscarriages. Convinced she could never carry again, she learned she was pregnant and that she wasn’t facing the journey alone. At 9:15 am, the clinic received a call from a woman in her second trimester who was overwhelmed by fear and considering abortion. LaVie encouraged her to come in immediately. Soon after, another mother who had been told there was no heartbeat came to LaVie seeking clarity. She was met with relief and joy when she saw her healthy baby’s strong heartbeat. As the day continued, a teen mom and her mother found support in parenting classes, a grieving couple received prayer and care from LaVie’s biblical counselor, and a mother abandoned at 18 weeks found comfort and began considering adoption after seeing her baby on the ultrasound. That evening, the post-abortion recovery group met, and one woman stayed after group, heard the Gospel clearly, and prayed to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior. This was just one day at LaVie.
Feedback from patients reflects these experiences. Women and families consistently describe LaVie as safe, gentle, kind, and deeply supportive. Many share that their appointments helped them feel grounded or less anxious. Others speak about the family-like environment, the helpful information they received, or the way the staff walked them through difficult moments with patience and compassion. Their words capture the heart of LaVie’s mission more powerfully than anything else could.
While LaVie’s primary focus remains medical care, they are also expanding their educational programs and outreach efforts, so more people in the community know compassionate pregnancy care is available. In 2026, they plan to grow their beautiful new clinic space with a Baby Boutique, offering free shopping experiences for patients, along with more in-person classes that support families throughout pregnancy and beyond.
The work LaVie does is made possible entirely through community support. Their services exist because Billings recognized a need and chose to meet it. Without state or federal funding, the generosity of local donors and foundations sustains every appointment, class, and moment of care. LaVie sees itself as a conduit of that generosity, neighbors supporting neighbors through some of life’s most vulnerable seasons.
