Tween and Teen - Hand Mending 101
Designed for young students (ages 10+), this class will teach basic hand mending techniques that can save a favorite piece of clothing from the trash! Participants will learn about simple hand-mending techniques, including basic stitches that can repair almost any issue, as well as replacing buttons, fixing torn seams, and sewing on patches.
All materials provided, including needles, thread, fabric, and basic tools for mending clothing, which each participant gets to take home.

Tween and Teen - Sashiko Stitched Zipper Bag
Designed for young students (ages 10+), this class will teach the basics of Japanese Sashiko techniques, which are a great way to embellish or mend clothing. Class participants will learn about the history of the practice in Japan, and how to use the simple techniques and modern twists to reinforce and repair fabric by hand. The class will end with a project of each participant’s choice of pattern stitched on a canvas zipper bag.
All materials will be provided, including needles, thread, fabric, and several basic Sashiko patterns, which each participant gets to take home.
