Pastels are fun because they are an immediate medium - you do not have to take time to mix colors or wait for them to dry. And they are very archival because they contain the same pigments used in oil paints, minus the oil medium. In this beginner class, you will learn about pastel supplies and techniques. We'll also talk about shapes, values, edges, focal points and colors - all the basics for a good painting!
