Take a dive into the rich history and fun techniques of Old-School Cartooning in this 6-week workshop! Join us as we explore the techniques of the seasoned pros to make your own character sheet.
You will receive a book of examples and resources including model sheets, processes, tools and bits and bobs of animation/cartooning history. There will be videos, printouts, and other multimedia so you get a full idea of what these techniques can do. I'll briefly touch on digital art as well, but the main media of this workshop is pencil, pen and ink.
By the end of this workshop, you should have a basic knowledge of cartoon fundamentals including character construction, emotions, usage of sounds/symbols. exaggeration, and some basic design principles that can apply to pretty much all art. Class price includes a sketchbook, resources/references, book recommendations and more odds and ends.
