Native Heritage Day 2024

Join us at Pompeys Pillar National Monument on May 25th to celebrate Native American heritage from 9:00am - 4:00pm!

The day kicks off at 9:00 AM with the Pretty Shield Foundation setting up tepees on the Pillar grounds.

Buck Hitswithastick will present on indigenous arts and traditions throughout the morning and afternoon. Franco Littlelight will share a history of the Crow people. Guest speakers courtesy of Humanities Montana.

Educational exhibits on Montana's indigenous peoples will be available throughout the day. Exhibits courtesy of the Western Heritage Center.

Mama Joan's food truck will be available on site serving up Indian Tacos and frybread.

Come join us for a day of learning and fun!
