Amidst all the upcoming birthdays, one of our new hires is asked to chime in with one of their favorites! Karesha Bailey has been our Office Manager for a number of months now, and she has helped to make our lives a lot easier! To celebrate her and her work, we will be playing one of her favorite films, Taika Waititi's HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE, at the historic Babcock Theatre Wednesday, September 4th!
This absolutely splendid coming-of-age adventure from New Zealand sees Ricky, a defiant young city kid going in and out of multiple foster homes until he lands with an older husband and wife. Despite Hec, the husband, and his apparent distaste for Ricky, things seem like they could work out okay. But when his new foster mother unexpectedly dies, Ricky runs away into the dense wilderness. Knowing the dangers of the forest, Hec tracks Ricky down and aims to bring him home, but the circumstance make it look as if Hec has kidnapped Ricky, and the two must set aside their differences as a nationwide manhunt for the two ensues!
