Billings, Say Hi to Angie Stiller

Billings, say hi to Angie Stiller. She is a long-time advocate for our community, (you may have seen her in our #thisisbillings series) and she owns and operates The Angela Stiller Insurance Agency, a local branch of Farmers Insurance.

She is fun, high energy, and super passionate about what she does. Not only that, she is so intelligent and just matter-of-fact about everything which I LOVE.

I’m going to be brutally honest, there is nothing I hate more than dealing with insurance. I hate making the calls, I hate paying it every month, and I just quite frankly don’t trust the insurance world. However, this all changed after getting to sit down with Angie for our coffee & interview date. Her energy and love for what she does is contagious. She has been in the insurance agency for over 20 years and is one of the top Farmers Agents in the country. Her experience shows through her passion and ease of discussing her business.

I asked her a simple question, (and by simple question I mean I asked her a totally loaded question on the spot): “Why do you love what you do, and what do you want the people of Billings to know about you and the Stiller Insurance Agency?”

After some thought, her initial response was “I don’t care if people decide to sign up with me for their policy. What is most important to me is that I have the chance to sit down with potential clients, break down what all of the fine print means, and know at the end of the day that I educated them to the best of my ability. People deserve to understand what they’re paying for and how they will/will not be protected.” I respect that she genuinely cares about people and isn’t just another Agent trying to sell us things.

Her favorite thing about running her own business is two-fold. She said although it can be stressful at times managing her team (LOL) she loves helping them develop and grow in their career. Her second favorite thing is working with her customers and being able to help protect them, their homes, and their families.

Recently, one of her client’s houses burned down and their dog had died in the fire. The second she heard the news, she ran to bring them flowers and comfort them however she could. Once she knew they were okay, and she helped get things straightened out, she immediately called the company to make sure they were going to cover the cremation of the family’s dog that they lost. She said “because if they weren’t, I was going to cover it out of pocket.” Angie is truly a friend and an ally for her clients.

Whether you’re in the market for a new policy or not, I highly recommend you take the time to visit her shop and sit down with her to get educated on everything that goes into your insurance policy. You will not only be doing yourself and your family a favor, but you’ll have a new friend and ally on your team for good.
