Watercolor Fundamentals w. Mike Koski

This 4-week class will introduce students to the mechanics and tools of watercolor. We will discuss not only painting on paper but on other substrates as well. Important basics of water management, blending out hard edges, and color mixing using primary colors will be practiced. Wet-on-wet and dry brush techniques, compositional elements, and preservation of the white of the paper will be demonstrated and practiced. A simple landscape painting implementing these techniques will be created.
All in-class materials will be provided.
