All month long, we will once again be putting on our annual MUSICAL MAY series at the historic Babcock Theatre, and we will be closing it out with a special screening of Jake Kasdan's incredible 2007 music biopic parody, WALK HARD: THE DEWEY COX STORY! Also playing as this month's film in our Nostalgia Night series, WALK HARD is an outrageous musical satire playing on the popularity of musician biopics that stars John C. Reilly in one of his best roles as an Elvis-type caricature whose music shifts and evolves through the passage of time. It's one of the most laugh-out-loud films of the 2000s and it makes for a highly entertaining closer to this year's series, seeing how it has such a fun, bold time poking fun at the various absurdities of the genre!

Following a childhood tragedy regarding his brother and a machete, a young Dewey Cox discovers he has a knack for playing the blues and begins to follow a path to musical stardom. As time passes and Dewey's popularity increases, he begins to struggle with changing musical styles, marital tension, addiction to just about every drug out there, and bouts of uncontrollable rage.
