Big screens. Bigger peaks. Banff’s 50th World Tour brings the world’s best mountain films to Billings-don’t miss this night of adventure!
Be moved. Be amazed. Be inspired. The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world. Each fall, the Festival takes place in beautiful Banff, Alberta. From there, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road—traveling to more than 600 communities across over 40 countries—celebrating the very best in outdoor storytelling and filmmaking worldwide.
From more than 400 films submitted each year, award winners and audience favorites are carefully selected to screen around the globe. The World Tour takes audiences to remote vistas, explores timely environmental issues, and brings viewers up close to adrenaline-fueled action sports. The 2026 World Tour promises an exhilarating and thought-provoking exploration of the mountain world.
This year is especially meaningful as Banff celebrates its 50th anniversary. From what we can tell, The Base Camp has been hosting the tour for at least 30 of those years—an incredible legacy of adventure, storytelling, and community here in Billings.
This is a fundraising event, with all proceeds benefiting the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Foundation, Billings TrailNet and Wild Montana. Representatives from these organizations will join us with information and giveaways. Guests will also have the opportunity to win raffle prizes from The Base Camp, the Banff Centre, as well as passes to Lake Louise Ski Resort.
Tickets are available in store at The Base Camp, 1730 Grand Ave., Billings or online at Eventbrite.com
We are honored to continue this long-standing tradition and hope to pack MSUB Petro Theater for this milestone year. Hope to see you there!
