Local author Shelley Ellis will be launching her brand-new book Joe Becomes a Weed. This novel tells the story of a young English teacher newly hired in a small, Montana town, who initially finds happiness but then must face tragedy and darkness as she makes her way in the world.
Shelley Ellis was a teacher educator at Rocky Mountain College for nineteen years, helping prospective young teachers learn the tools and strategies they’d need for successful classroom management. She hopes they remember what she taught them—good teachers are a gift to our children and our country.
