Join us at Frae Collective with Rock Pigeon Vintage for Sashiko Stitching!
March 21st - Intro to Sashiko - This hour-long class will provide the basics of the Japanese Sashiko mending methods, with a small project started on provided cloth. Build your experience with hand-sewn mending practices, learn how to create unique sashiko patterns, and mend or add new flair to your favorite fabrics.
All materials provided, including needles, thread, fabric, and tools for creating basic Sashiko patterns. Hands-on practice during class with the opportunity to continue with more advanced pattern designs in the next class on March 28th. It’s highly recommended to start with the Introduction class if you’ve never tried Sashiko stitching!
March 28th - Sashiko 2.0 - After learning the basics in the Intro to Sashiko class, come back for fun with a more advanced pattern and a personalized tote bag at the end! Pick from a range of patterns and thread colors to truly personalize your project. Hands-on stitching during class.
