A lavish opera directed by Doug Nagel featuring local and national opera talent. The story features the classic "Dance of the Seven Veils", as Herod's step-daughter, Salome, is intrigued by the prophet John the Baptist. The 90 minute production will be sung in German with English supertitles.

Salome is Oscar Wilde’s twist on the biblical story of Herod, Herodias, and Salomé. The story tells of a lovely young girl Salomé, her step-father Herod’s obsession with her, and Salome’s infatuation with the prophet John the Baptist (Jokanaan). The opera is famous for its “Dance of the Seven Veils.”
