Sketching is the most important part of creating wonderful paintings. In this 4-week workshop, I will walk you through the steps to create simplified drawings using basic shapes to create line drawings that can be used in any medium you prefer to work with. I will show you how I scale drawings up in size to fit different substrate sizes and how to transfer your drawings onto your paper or canvas. I will be demonstrating how to create a value sketch and how they improve the painting process. Please bring subject matter you want to work on and I will help you create drawings that will lend themselves to a better painting experience.
