That same feeling is what owner, Kris Carpenter wanted to give Billings when she opened up The Joy of Living. “I felt that Billings was missing a place you could pick up a gift for your girlfriend and find something easy that would fit any budget,” said Carpenter. “Girls like to give their friends gifts. I wanted to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible for them.”

The Joy of Living has two locations. One in Downtown Billings, you can find it in between The Big Dipper Ice Cream and STACKED MT Grill. And their convenient West End Location, next to the Carpenter’s other businesses: Sanctuary Salon & Spa and Black Dog Coffee House.

Both locations are filled with unique gifts. There are so many options that literally anyone, young or old, could benefit from something inside this shop of wonders...

Items inside The Joy of Living include gifts specifically made for Montana and from creators and vendors all across the state. And the store is also full of witty and funny gag or “white elephant gifts” for your work or holiday parties. Their endless varieties of quirky cards make it easy for you to find the perfect one to go with your cool and stand out gift.

The Joy of Living also carries clothing, jewelry and kids items (gifts, clothing, nursery decor, etc.) And the best part is, once you’ve found your gifts, they gift wrap them for you in the store!
