NIH’s All of Us Journey Comes to Rimrock Mall in Billings
On July 9-12, the American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) & University of Montana Rural Institute will host the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Journey, a traveling, hands-on exhibit to raise awareness about the All of Us Research Program. All of Us aims to speed up health research and medical breakthroughs. To do so, All of Us is asking 1 million volunteers to share different types of health and lifestyle information – information like where you live, what you do, and your family health history.
Billings is one stop on the All of Us Journey’s national tour. AAHD & University of Montana Rural Institute invite you to attend this event to learn more about the All of Us Research Program and how it could enable research to more precisely prevent and treat a variety of health conditions.
AAHD & University of Montana Rural Institute invite the Billings community to visit the All of Us Journey and learn how you can help change the future of health.
8:30AM – 4:30PM
300 S. 24th Street West
Billings, MT 59102
Unlike a single research study focused on a specific disease or community, the All of Us Research Program will create a research resource to inform thousands of studies, covering a wide range of health conditions. This information could help researchers better understand health differences and improve health for generations to come.
The mission of AAHD is to advance health promotion and wellness initiatives for children and adults with disabilities. AAHD works to reduce health disparities between people with disabilities and the general population, and supports full community inclusion and accessibility. AAHD accomplishes its mission through advocacy, education, public awareness, and research efforts at the federal, state, and community levels.
