Make Trailhead Spirits’ DIY Summer Lemonade at Home

Make Trailhead Spirits’ DIY Summer Lemonade at Home

In honor of Billings’ short but totally sweet summer, the awesome folks at Trailhead Spirits decided to share their recipe for a deliciously fruity lemonade. If you bring a pitcher of this stuff to your next family BBQ, please invite us. It’s delicious and isn’t super sugary like some lemonades. Plus, it’s packed with fresh fruit.

Watch how the DIY Summer Lemonade is made in our #b365video and be sure to stop in to Trailhead Spirits this month to buy a bottle of their Healy’s Gin so you can make it at home.

Follow this recipe to make the DIY Summer Lemonade at home –

1 lb. strawberries
1 peach
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 3/4 cup fresh lemon
2 cup 7UP or Sprite

Cut up fruit, sugar, and water and put in a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes or until fruit is soft. Once soft, blend as a puree. Pour puree into a pitcher and add lemon, 7UP or Sprite, and ice. Serve.
If you want to kick your party up a notch, add Trailhead Spirits’ Healy’s Gin and a fruit skewer.

This recipe is fabulous for family get togethers because you can make it non-alcoholic and then add alcohol separately. Another fun touch is adding fruit skewers. Trailhead’s bartender, Tawny, used bananas, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries for our skewers.

Healy’s Gin is sold at Trailhead Spirits for $30 a bottle. Be sure to stop in and grab a bottle – or two – and try the DIY Summer Lemonade.
