Local Music Panel: How to Build A Fan Base & Promote Your Music w/ Marcus Barkac, Lee Calvin, Daniel Kosel & Riley Haynie
Wednesday, May 29th
Pub Station Taproom
Starts at 7PM
In order to book and headline your own show at larger venues like Pub Station, and be a successful artist both locally and nationally, you must be able to establish a fan base and effectively promote your music. How do we get there? During the workshop featuring a local music panel led and moderated by Pub Station Marketing Coordinator & Dead Presleys vocalist Kerry Sherman, attendees will learn what strategies have been effective for building a fan base on both a local and national level.
Following the panel, there will be a collaborative, open discussion on the local music scene, and some socializing!
Panel:
Marcus Barkac (Alder Lights, Wretches and Kings)
Lee Calvin (Calvin & The Coal Cars)
Daniel Kosel (Daniel Kosel)
Riley Haynie (Deathwish)
Open Mic Night Hosted by Tyler Cook

We’re capping off Love Your Locals week by hosting a diverse group of local artists for a free, all ages concert celebrating the local music scene on the big stage at Pub Station Ballroom.
Calvin & The Coal Cars
A stylistically traditional Country Band from day one, the members of Calvin and the Coal Cars have been been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Throughout the course of the band’s union, they have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; performing at a variety of venues, making loads of public appearances, all the while recording new music. Learn more by exploring the site, and feel free to get in touch with any of your comments and questions.
Grooveshoe
A trio of funky, electro-based bass music. Always sure to share that infectious vibe to get people movin’. Mike Dodge, Chris Lutton & Blake Pierce.
Night in at Tiananmens
If you would like to hear our story, you should go to a show, you’ll learn everything you need to know from our set, I promise. Grindcore/Progressive metal is how we put it best, but like we said, come to a show and see for yourself. Try new things, be open to new experiences, don’t be an asshole. Support local music, not really a part of our story, now were just rambling. COME TO A SHOW! LONG LIVE GRIND!
Gray Joy (Formerly Silverbow Society)
Alternative punkish stuff with lots of melodies and vaguely post-hardcore undertones
Fracture
Fracture hails from Red Lodge, MT and has been wowing audiences with their high energy rock shows. Amazing guitar leads (Justin Satterfield), with their rock solid rhythm section (Paul Metzsch - drums), (Matt Windmueller - bass), topped with their beautiful and hard-hitting vocals (Lisa Satterfield), is sure to bring the house down.
