Inside a Book: How Do the Pictures Get There? @ This House of Books

Think about your favorite picture book. Do you have it in your mind? Excellent. Now call to mind the illustrations from this book. Have you ever wondered where they come from?

Join children's book illustrator—and member-owner—Erika Wilson on Tuesday afternoon, August 7 from 3 to 4 as she answers this question about where the pictures come from and tells us about her process for creating illustrations for children's books. Miss Erika also will read to us from a book she's illustrated and lead us in an art activity.

This event—which takes place at This House of Books—is geared to children ages preschool up to early middle school. It is FREE and open to the public.
