Food Truck Battle on the Yellowstone at MetraPark

The “Food Truck Battle on the Yellowstone” is a fundraiser organized by the Breakfast Exchange Club of Billings. The event will be Saturday, June 15th from 12-7p on the grounds at MetraPark in Billings.

The proceeds from our event will go to a non-profit called Veterans Matter that assists Veterans with obtaining housing through the Veterans Assisted Supported Housing (VASH) program. Veterans, generally homeless, get approved to receive the VASH vouchers to help them pay their monthly rent payment. This money for the vouchers comes from HUD. However, the Veterans still have to come up with a deposit, which many don't have. If they can't come up with the deposit, they lose their voucher for housing. The proceeds from this event will go towards assisting the Veterans with their required deposits.

There will be an entry fee of $5/person, kids 12 & under and Veterans will get free admission.

All Billings and surrounding area food trucks are invited to attend. 10% of the food truck sales will go to the non-profit as well as the profits from entry fees and beer sales.
There will be 2 bands playing throughout the day:
D’tective from 12-3
Brickhouse Band from 3:30-6:30
This will be a family friendly event, we will have a kid’s zone which will include a castle tent with princesses and super heroes that kids can take pictures with, face painting, crafting, a large group painting project, and yard games.
Awards will be given to food trucks for “Best in Billings”, voted on by the attendees as well as guest local celebrity judges.
There will also be informational booths on location geared towards Veteran’s needs.
About Breakfast Exchange Club: We sell the beer and wine throughout the MetraPark Arena buildings and grounds except for the horse racing Grandstand. This allows us, through good sales and no labor cost, to raise thousands of dollars for local charities. While Billings has tens of thousands of hard working volunteers who help make this a better place in so many ways, cold hard cash is required as well. So we focus our time on raising cash and then investing it in Child Abuse Prevention and Children at Risk programs as well as Veteran’s programs. Exchange is an all-volunteer, national service organization for men and women, who want to serve their community, develop leadership skills and enjoy new friendships.
