Urban Forestry - A Difference Maker in Billings (Info Session)
Dec 12, 2023, 6:00 PM
We believe Billings is a wonderful place to live, but we are also facing growing challenges, one of which is the lack of tree cover in our city. Research has shown that urban forestry in cities can reduce temperatures on hot days by up to nine degrees, improve air quality, provide life-saving shade to unhoused folks, and more! Currently, tree cover in Billings is not evenly distributed. Neighborhoods that are lower-income tend to have the least trees; consequently, they experience less of the above benefits. But we can change this! Come out to our informational event on urban forestry at Billings Public Library on Tuesday, December 12th! Urban Forestry – A Difference Maker in Billings Billings Public Library (510 N Broadway, Billings) Tuesday, December 12th 6 to 7:30 pm Immerse yourself in the world of urban forestry as our panel of experts shares insights on surprising ways trees make a difference in our community’s health and quality of life!
