Family Service has made a difference in the community for over 117 years! We invite you to celebrate the work that has been accomplished through Family Service at our annual “The Benefit” fundraising event on October 7th, 2023, at 6:30pm in the beautiful historic Northern Hotel. You won’t want to miss this year’s cocktail hour, fabulous dinner, silent and live auctions, games, and updates from the Executive Director Ryan Cremer. Feel like the real VIP (because you are!) at this year’s event, get dressed up and be ready to eat, drink and give. Family Service knows that a better life is possible for families and those struggling in our community. Last year we served over 50,000 families, including 15,000 children. That is enough to fill every seat in the Metra Park arena five times over! Each number is a face, a story and a heart that felt compassion and hope through our work. We aim to fulfill our vision of a community of healthy and prosperous families through four key programs: 1. Client Choice Grocery Experience – so no one goes hungry. 2. Emergency Rent and Utility Assistance- so no one freezes without a roof. 3. Education Assistance for Better Employment- so a person willing to learn, CAN! 4. No/low-Cost Clothing and Essentials- so everyone has dignity! Your support keeps our doors open and is vital to the success of Family Service and the people we serve.
