Boys & Girls Club: A Place to Belong

Helping Every Child Realize Their Full Potential

Kids spent 576,317 hour at The Club last year

Helping prepare kids to succeed in today’s world is an important cause. From the challenges of navigating the online social landscape, to focusing on healthy living, to learning skills that will prepare them for the jobs of the future, Boys and Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County work every day to help kids, especially those in need, to realize their full potential. Kids who spend time at the clubs benefit from healthy foods, homework help, world-class educational programming including STEM activities, and more.

Kids need a safe place to turn when school is out and a safe place to learn all year long. While all kids make similar learning gains during the school year, those from lower income families can fall behind because of inequities to access to summer learning. Two-thirds of the ninth grade reading achievement gap between lower income students and higher income peers can be explained by unequal access to summer learning opportunities during the elementary school years. By providing kids a place to study and learn over the summer, the Clubs help bridge this gap.

Each year, the Club works to secure funding to help more children benefit from their services through their Back-A-Kid program. A gift of $270 provides a school-year sponsorship for a child in need, while a donation of $520 provides one child access to everything the Club provides for an entire calendar year. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, as each dollar adds up to make a big difference in the lives of kids in need.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County is grateful for everyone who supports our mission to help kids reach their full potential. Your gift can change a child’s life. We hope you’ll become the difference for a child in need and donate to Boys and Girls Clubs. We promise it will be the best gift you give this season.
