Battles of the Rosebud and Little Bighorn
Join us for a comprehensive exploration of two momentous battles in the Great Sioux War of 1876: the Battle of the Rosebud—pitting Crazy Horse against Crook—and the climactic Battle of the Little Bighorn, culminating in “Custer’s Last Stand.” We'll start with a pizza reception and orientation at the hotel Tuesday night, October 16, then spend four full days exploring the battlefields and associated sites of two epic clashes. Our guide is the preeminent Indian Wars historian Neil Mangum, the former Superintendent and Chief Historian at Little Bighorn National Monument. We'll depart and return to our headquarters hotel -- the Boothill Inn in Billings -- all four days. Lunch is included each day. See whtours.org for full itinerary.
