@Art House Cinema & Pub

Please join us for a showing of the documentary, An Inconvenient Sequel, Truth to Power, followed by commentary and a question and answer session with Dr Elizabeth Nelson, MSUB Assistant Professor Environmental Studies Program in the Department of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies. An Inconvenient Sequel seeks to mobilize and encourage individuals to be advocates for tackling climate change at the local, state, and national levels.

Since Al Gore’s original documentary, An Inconvenient Truth in 2006, earth’s average carbon dioxide level has increased from around 380 PPM to 430 PPM in 2025 (re: NASA.GOV), and continues to rise at an alarming rate. The average global temperature over the same period follows the same pattern, increasing 0.6 Degrees C, or 1 Degree F. Dr Nelson will discuss some of the impacts global warming has had on human lives, and potential future impacts.
